About Me

Thank you for taking the time to find out about me. I was raised in the greater Philadelphia area, receiving degrees in speech communication from Penn State University and the Masters of Divinity & the Doctor of Ministry in Urban Missiology at Biblical Theological Seminary (now known as Missio Seminary.) I’m passionate for God’s work in the city having served with urban churches in Philadelphia and Baltimore. In 2008, I was privileged to lead a team to start The Village Church in Baltimore, MD with dreams of making God famous through a diverse and multicultural expression of the Kingdom of God.

As God has blessed me in so many ways, my vision is to empower others to serve God with all they have. I serve as the city missionary for Baltimore with the SEND Network by discovering, developing, and deploying church planters to start healthy, multiplying churches for our city. I also serve on the adjunct faculty of the Capital Seminary & Graduate School of Lancaster Bible College and regularly write for Lifeway Pastors at Facts & Trends. I love to speak on a wide variety of issues including leadership, justice, and church planting and find my greatest passion in preaching for churches. God has also provided an amazing experience allowing me to help start and lead the Ethnos Conference to catalyze the Church in conversations about justice, reconciliation, and mission.

My interests include sports, working out, good food, and conversations on culture. After God, my greatest joy & desire in life is for my lovely wife, Judie, and two daughters.  You can follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to see what God continues to show me.
