Pastor Dan Hyun was raised in the greater Philadelphia area and has served with churches in Philadelphia and Baltimore. In 2008, he was privileged to lead a team to start The Village Church with dreams of making God famous in Baltimore. He now uses his training in cultural and emotional intelligence to equip the larger Church to experience God’s presence with a vision for deeper reconciliation and mission.

Pastor Dan finds particular joy to speak on a variety of issues involving holistic transformation. God led Dan to help start and lead the Ethnos Conference to catalyze the Church in conversations about justice, reconciliation, and mission. Dan is also the author of The Bible in 52 Weeks: A Yearlong Bible Study Companion. 

His interests include sports, working out, good food, and pop culture. Dan finds great joy in walking with his lovely wife, Judie, and two daughters.
